Junior Designer Request: Can you please help me with this banner? I need to use this specific picture requested by the PR department put the required banner size is too wide and narrow and the photograph doesn’t fit nicely.

Reply: When an image doesn’t fit the banner size nicely, one thing you can do is create more negative space. In this case we can extend the background on the left-hand side. Demonstration on how to extend the gradient background follows.

Working with a third party website development agency and providing feedback as new pages are being built.

In this example it was flagged that the high jewellery page needed to be more of an inspiration page and look more like an art album rather than be so e-commerce oriented. Appropriate competitor references were provided.

In this case we were creating multiple scenes for our Christmas animation. Colour consistency needed to be ensured throughout every scene. The example on the left was leaning too much towards the purple shades whilst the main house colour is pink. Colour correction was applied and the process was demonstrated to the junior designer.
